BAYLOR BOUND
honest advice from honestly nice people
You are about to learn just a few of the adventures you could have on your oh-so-coveted weekends in the grand city of Waco, Texas.
You might be thinking to yourself, “Self, what if Waco is boring? What if I don’t find things to do there, or people to hang out with?” I’m here to list some things that you should remember for those first weekends when you realize you don’t have anything lined up on your itinerary (Freshmen, it’ll take a few weeks before you’re free as Scotch tape). Bookmark this page, because you’ll definitely want to come back to some of these suggestions. Disclaimer: Adventure included below.

By Calleigh Swift Dear Freshman Me, Looking back, it really was quite the year. You grew up so much. You’re about to be a junior now, and you can’t believe time has flown by THAT fast. You had all these ideas and expectations for your freshman year, and guess what? It didn’t turn out like you planned...it was better. The long awaited move in day was so nerve-wracking, but exciting at the same time. You were finally in charge of your own life. You got to decide if you made your bed or not, when you ate, and when you did your homework (PSA: 2 am is not the best time to start your homework.). Saying goodbye to Mom & Dad was rough, but they were only a quick call or text away. And they pick up the phone every time you call.

“Oh no. not ANOTHER ‘what to do before college’ blog post!” oh yes. But ladies and gentlemen, THIS is a Baylor specific what to do before college blog post. And quite possibly the best one you’ll read. But that’s my opinion. Because I’m biased. Because I wrote it. Lol. Guess you’ll just have to determine that for yourself huh. SO without any further delay, here are 10 things you should do before coming to Baylor! 1. Buy a Baylor Sweatshirt
2. Get HYPED for Football!
Y’all. Seriously. Football. Maybe it’s just me (it’s not) but football is HUGE at Baylor. Game Day is so exciting. Campus is buzzing, and there’s more green and gold than you knew existed! It’s an incredible experience. Get excited! After everything our football program has been through, Baylor Nation could use some love and encouragement. No matter what happens, I for one am proud to be a Baylor bear. Today and everyday. #sicem
